The Shadows Beneath Album
Hungry GhostCold Toast
00:00 / 04:48

This song is about the destructive cycle of endless consumption and craving that leaves us perpetually empty and unfulfilled. How we chase desires and feed our egos through endless consumption of information, yet remain spiritually hollow because we never take action or commit to anything real. You break the cycle by moving from passive consumption to active creation, from endless seeking to purposeful doing, and from feeding the Hungry Ghost to actually living with substance

Verse 1

Big eyes, big need, small voice inside

Chasing others we can never satisfy

We swallow the world but we stay hollow

Craving the next thing to blindly follow

Endless hunger in a broken chest

We feed the urge but never find rest

Verse 2

We swallow the lies like they’re something true

They beat us up till we're black and blue

Every desire is a deeper ache

Every new fix is a bigger fake

We're told we should always be first

But it Imprisons our soul with unquenchable thirst

Chorus

Your hungry ghost, is burning you out

Always searching, because you're full of doubt

Craving more while staying half-dead

Stuffing emptiness inside our heads

Stop the cycle before it owns you

Don’t just consume, stand up and do

Verse 3

We think the truth comes from one more hit

We read and scroll but never commit

Knowledge stacked up like a million stones

But no real change in our skin or bones

Desire without action leaves you lost

Frozen still, trapped in the cost

Chorus

Your hungry ghost, is burning you out

Always searching, because you're full of doubt

Craving more while staying half-dead

Stuffing emptiness inside our heads

Stop the cycle before it owns you

Don’t just consume, stand up and do

Solo

Bridge

Stop waiting for the stars to align

Stop feeding on the next headline

Change doesn't come from what you read

It comes from planting your own seed

Move your hands, not just your mind

Leave the hungry ghost behind

Solo

Chorus

Your hungry ghost, is burning you out

Always searching, because you're full of doubt

Craving more while staying half-dead

Stuffing emptiness inside our heads

Stop the cycle before it owns you

Don’t just consume, stand up and do.

Beautiful LiesCold Toast
00:00 / 04:50

"Beautiful Lies" is about preferring the painful truth over comfortable lies. It describes the frustration of living with deception. It captures the emotional journey of someone who values honesty and is ready to handle whatever truth brings, even if it hurts.

Verse 1

I see the cracks behind your smile

Shadows flicker in your eyes

You talk like nothing's wrong at all

But your silence screams in disguise

Verse 2

All these walls you keep on building

Made of sugar-coated lines

I can taste the bitter sweetness

Of your carefully crafted lies

Chorus

Don’t lie to me, don’t deceive me

Don’t dress the dark in white

Give me the truth even if it breaks me

Let it shatter through the night

The painful truth, though it may hurt

Is better than your beautiful lies

Verse 3

I’m not a ghost you have to shield

I’ve walked through worse, I won’t kneel

Spare me with your painted smile

And lying to me all the while

Bridge

You think you're saving me from sorrow

But you're stealing my right to choose

I can handle being broken

What I can't handle is the ruse

So give me the truth I'll be strong

Even if it proves me wrong

Solo

Chorus

Don’t lie to me, don’t deceive me

Don’t dress the dark in white

Give me the truth even if it breaks me

Let it shatter through the night

The painful truth, though it may hurt

Is better than your beautiful lies

Is better than your beautiful lies

Is better than your beautiful lies

Beautiful Lies
The Shadows BeneathCold Toast
00:00 / 05:10

"The Shadows Beneath" is about how people lose control of their own lives when they hide their true thoughts and feelings just to be accepted by others. It shows how burying fear and insecurity only turns us into puppets, controlled by the expectations and judgments of everyone around us. The only way to break free is to face the “shadows beneath,” admit what we feel, and confront the darkness instead of running from it. In doing so, we stop living like victims and finally reclaim our own identity and strength.

Verse 1

We walk around in borrowed skin

Pretending we’re solid while breaking within

We choke down their lies just to look okay

While our private thoughts rot and eat us away

Our silence pulls strings we don’t want to see

So we move like puppets thinking we’re free

Verse 2

Every hidden thought grows sharp like teeth

Gnawing from the dark just beneath

We run from the truth we’re scared to meet

But the chase gets louder with every heartbeat

You lose yourself when you try to appease

Living through others will only bring you to your knees

Chorus

Stop being a puppet in someone else’s game

They twist your fear and ignite your shame

They want you believing you're never enough

So rise above and call their bluff

Verse 3

There’s a war in our heads that we never show

A version of us that we won't let grow

But realize that underneath it all

You're good enough, so stand tall

If you dare to confront what you fear the most

You'll stop being ruled by someone else's ghost

Chorus

Stop being a puppet in someone else’s game

They twist your fear and ignite your shame

They want you believing you're never enough

So rise above and call their bluff

Bridge

Stand in the dark until your eyes adjust

Stare at your fear until it breaks or busts

You can’t kill your demons as you sit and cower

Face them head-on and take back your power

Solo

Chorus

Stop being a puppet in someone else’s game

They twist your fear and ignite your shame

They want you believing you're never enough

So rise above and call their bluff

The shadows beneath aren’t meant to hide

Stay true to yourself and change the tide

Too Blind To SeeCold Toast
00:00 / 03:43

“Too Blind To See” confronts the brutal truth of human selfishness. It exposes how our own ego and pride create the chaos we blame on everything else, making us both the victims and the villains. It forces us to face the uncomfortable reality - we are the problem we keep trying to escape.

Verse 1

We point our fingers, scream and blame

Build our kingdoms on the backs of shame

We take and take but never give

This hollow way is how we live

Verse 2

We light the fuse and curse the flame

Cry out loud while doing the same

We blame the world for all its distain

But never see we built this pain

Chorus

We are the plague, we are the knife

Bleeding the world while begging for life

We're the chaos we try to outrun

Too blind to see we’re the loaded gun

Verse 3

We flood the earth with want and need

Starving the world, yet we still feed

Truth is buried beneath our pride

Never confessing what we hide

Chorus

We are the plague, we are the knife

Bleeding the world while begging for life

We're the chaos we try to outrun

Too blind to see we’re the loaded gun

Bridge

Tear down the veil — it’s made of lies

Built from the echoes of alibis

We cry for peace with blood on our hands

And call it fate when we ruin the lands

Solo

Chorus

We are the plague, we are the knife

Bleeding the world while begging for life

We're the chaos we try to outrun

Too blind to see we were the loaded gun

Too Blind To See
The Battlefield Inside Your MindCold Toast
00:00 / 03:54

“The Battlefield Inside Your Mind" is about confronting fear, breaking free from the lies we tell ourselves, and reclaiming inner strength. When you live in fear, you're not living in the present. Your imprisoned in a future that hasn't even happened. 90% of what we think are negative and repetitive, but this is not a fixed state and can be changed. Studies show the majority of negative thoughts are not true and never happen. It explores how fear lives inside the mind and only dies when faced directly

Verse 1

You built your cage with phantom chains

Haunted by the tomorrows that never came

You stare at ghosts your mind creates

While the present burns beneath your fate

Verse 2

Fear’s just a story that you wrote

A storm that sinks your fragile boat

If you can dream defeat so clear

Then turn it ‘round imagine there’s no fear

Chorus

The battlefield’s inside your mind

A war of shadows intertwined

Rewrite the script, take back control

You don’t need courage to save your soul

Verse 3

Fear grows in silence, in the dark

But it burns when you ignite your spark

It’s not the end—it’s where you start

Face your fear and claim your heart

Bridge

When you live in fear, the present is dead

Because your consumed by a future that's always ahead

You don’t conquer fear by holding back

You take control and go on the attack

Solo

Chorus

The battlefield’s inside your mind

A war of shadows intertwined

Rewrite the script, take back control

You don’t need courage to save your soul

One spark, one will, one final fight

To face the dark and step into the light.

The Battlefield Inside Your Mind
Chains of YesterdayCold Toast
00:00 / 03:47

"Chains of Yesterday" captures the struggle of someone trying to escape their past mistakes but finding themselves trapped by the consequences

Chains of Yesterday

Verse 1

I walked away from the fire I lit

Left the ruins, tried to forget

But the smoke still clings to the soul I wear

And the faces I wronged still haunt the air

Verse 2

I carved new roads with blistered hands

But the road I built was from broken plans

So with every step, the ground gives way

Like my sins are dues I still must pay

Chorus

I'm trying to escape but I can't break free

The chains of yesterday are choking me

Screaming for mercy in the hell I designed

But the past I forged won’t stay behind

The light ahead, just the flames I fed

Fanned by the lies that I once said

Verse 3

The past won't leave, though I try to forget

That history stays like an unpaid debt

I tore the page, but the story stayed

Now I live in the mess I made

Solo

Bridge

You can beg and plead or try to run

But your past can never be undone

Time won't heal what justice claims

You wear your sins like iron chains

Solo

Chorus

I'm trying to escape but I can't break free

The chains of yesterday are choking me

Screaming for mercy in the hell I designed

But the past I forged won’t stay behind

The light ahead, just the flames I fed

Fanned by the lies that I once said

Falling Into The HollowCold Toast
00:00 / 04:27

"Falling Into The Hollow" is a haunting exploration of inner turmoil. The person grapples with fear and darkness that seem to consume them. As they navigate through feelings of isolation and despair, they question their identity and the nature of their pain. The struggle between fight and flight intensifies, leaving them trapped in a cycle of haunting echoes and shadows.

Verse 1

Shadows crawl beneath my skin

Echoes louder than they've ever been

Breathing deep but choking slow

Fear is there so peace won't go

Whispers claw behind the door

Begging me to run but I'm not sure

If I'm afraid or just a ghost

Haunted most by what I know

Chorus

I'm falling into the hollow

Where the light won't even follow

Every heartbeat's just a warning

Every step feels like mourning

I'm scared, I'm breaking wide

But I can't run and I can't hide

The dark finds me It knows my name

And it's calling me again

Verse 2

Mirror shows a stranger's face

Cracked and bent, out of place

Tried to scream but silence came

Wrapped my soul in ice and shame

Torn between fight and flight

Dying slowly in plain sight

Fear's a darkness that doesn't leave

It holds me tighter every time I breathe

Chorus

I'm falling into the hollow

Where the light won't even follow

Every heartbeat's just a warning

Every step feels like mourning

I'm scared, I'm breaking wide

But I can't run and I can't hide

The dark finds me It knows my name

And it's calling me again

Bridge

Is there peace beyond the pain

Or just more sorrow in the rain

I keep walking through this fire

But the flames just climb higher

Is it madness or is it me

I don't know what I believe

Solo

Chorus

I'm falling into the hollow

Where the light won't even follow

Every heartbeat's just a warning

Every step feels like mourning

I'm scared, I'm breaking wide

But I can't run and I can't hide

The dark finds me It knows my name

And it's calling me again

When will this ever end

Falling Into The Hollow
I Am The Rise, I Am The FallCold Toast
00:00 / 03:55

"I Am The Rise, I Am The Fall" dives deep into a question we all have asked at least once in our lives. Why is there evil? But the capacity for both good and evil isn't a flaw in the system. It's exactly what makes it perfect for its intended purpose of developing genuine character. We have both good and evil inside... which one are you choosing?

Verse 1

I've searched and searched for my tormentor

Looking for horns and hooves to enter

Through sulfur smoke and lakes of fire

To find the source of my dark desire

But then one day my eyes could see

The face that's been deceiving me

No pitchfork king upon a throne of bone

The devil's face was my own

Chorus

There is no beast beneath the ground

No fallen angel to be found

The serpent's whisper in my ear

Is my own voice speaking here

The horned god of doubt and pride

Lies within, not outside

I am my own tempter's call

I am the rise, I am the fall

Verse 2

We’ve built a throne for the self to reign

Crowned with lies forged in pain

It’s not a demon from deep below

It’s the self we serve that’s our foe

The demon we’ve feared for so long

Is us singing our own selfish song

Behind our eyes of flesh and bone

Is where the devil has made his throne

Chorus

There is no beast beneath the ground

No fallen angel to be found

The serpent's whisper in my ear

Is my own voice speaking here

The horned god of doubt and pride

Lies within, not outside

I am my own tempter's call

I am the rise, I am the fall

Bridge

Look past the symbols and the lore

To find what we've been searching for

The enemy was never them

The darkness flows from within

Every sin that we have known

Grew from seeds that we have sown

Not from a demon as we’ve been told

But from our ego we tightly hold

Solo

Chorus

There is no beast beneath the ground

No fallen angel to be found

The serpent's whisper in my ear

Is my own voice speaking here

So when the devil calls my name

I'll know who's really playing the game

Not some external enemy

But the shadow that's in me

But the shadow that's in me

I Am The Rise, I Am The Fall
No Way Out
No Way OutCold Toast
00:00 / 03:40

"No Way Out"  is a deep song about hitting rock bottom and confronting one's darkest moments and failures. It captures the claustrophobic feeling of being trapped in one's own darkness with no apparent way out until reaching a breaking point. The song captures the raw honesty of someone who has lost everything but still has enough faith left to ask for transformation rather than destruction.

Verse 1

Cold breath in a room with no door

I’ve scratched these walls 'til my fingers tore

Voices crawl like spiders through my mind

Every truth is now hard to find

Tried to pray but had no voice

Fear and doubt had made that choice

Standing in my world of sin

Losing ground, losing skin

Chorus

There’s no way out, no light ahead

Just the memory of things unsaid

Crushing guilt upon my chest Never getting any rest

I’m drowning in a quiet scream

Trapped inside this broken dream

There’s no way out, no saving grace

It’s just my ending I have to face

Verse 2

Thunder rolls inside my head

Every thought becomes twisted dread

My confusions deeper than before

Can't remember what I'm fighting for

They say the dark can’t hurt you here

But they never met my fear

It’s a voice, it’s a knife, it’s me

It’s everything I didn’t want to be

Chorus

There’s no way out, no light ahead

Just the memory of things unsaid

Crushing guilt upon my chest

Never getting any rest

I’m drowning in a quiet scream

Trapped inside this broken dream

There’s no way out, no saving grace

It’s just my ending I have to face

Bridge

If this is the end, then let flames rise

Burn through my mask, no more disguise

It burns through lies I used to defend

To shape what’s true, not just pretend

Don’t let me fade like smoke in the night

Use fire to cleanse, not just ignite

Like gold refined in a furnace flame

Please God strip me of guilt and shame

Chorus

There’s no way out, no light ahead

Just the memory of things unsaid

Crushing guilt upon my chest

Never getting any rest

I’m drowning in a quiet scream

Trapped inside this broken dream

There’s no way out, no saving grace

It’s just my ending I have to face

No Up Without The DownCold Toast
00:00 / 03:57

"No Up Without The Down" presents life is more than just a human struggle. It moves from simple physical opposites to more complex concepts, ultimately revealing that what we perceive as enemies (good vs evil) are actually necessary partners in the grand design of existence. It's a profound realization that this duality (good and evil) isn't a flaw in creation - it's the very foundation of how reality works.

Verse 1

There is no up without the down

No smile without the frown

No left exists without the right

No day can be without the night

The tide must fall to ever rise

Truth cannot live without the lies

In this realm of flesh and bone

No force can stand and stand alone

Chorus

It's the law that rules us all

For every rise there is a fall

Hot and cold, young and old

Every story must be told

Good needs evil to exist

Light and shadow twist and twist

In the dance of give and take

This is how the worlds are made

Verse 2

There is no silence without sound

No lost without the found

No mountain peak without a valley

No retreat without a rally

The pendulum must swing both ways

Through darkest nights and brightest days

What goes out must circle back

Following the sacred track

Chorus

It's the law that rules us all

For every rise there is a fall

Hot and cold, young and old

Every story must be told

Good needs evil to exist

Light and shadow twist and twist

In the dance of give and take

This is how the worlds are made

Bridge

Look around and you will see

This is how it has to be

North needs South to find direction

East needs West for its reflection

So if good must have its place

Then evil must show its face

Not as the enemy but brother

One cannot exist without the other

Solo

Chorus

It's the law that rules us all

For every rise there is a fall

Hot and cold, young and old

Every story must be told

Good needs evil to exist

Light and shadow twist and twist

In the dance of opposites

This is how the universe fits

Outro

In the theater of the real

Every wound must learn to heal

But scars remain to tell the tale

Of how we learned we cannot fail

To see the truth that sets us free

All things need their enemy
